Making the war on terror unnecessary
19 February 2007
Vice-President Cheney will shortly ask Prime Minister Howard for further assistance in the 'war on terror'. ('Cheney seeks greater effort from allies', 19/2.)
Remarkably, given that it is staring them both in the face, it does not appear to have occurred to either man that if they ceased invading Muslim nations, backing Israel against the Palestinians, and aquiescing in the torture of Muslims in secret prisons, there is a high probability that the 'war on terror' would not be necessary.
