Fejetons
A fejeton is a Czech literary form defined as a "short, pointed article". These fejetons are posts to newspapers (the Australian, unless otherwise stated). Many are attempts to get Murdoch journalists to accept a little responsibility for drumming up support for the Iraq War (500,000+ dead civilians), and for vehemently opposing global warming for a decade or more.
There were three stages in the Australian's response to these posts:
1. Furious personal attacks by journalists.
2. My posts ceased appearing.
3. Blogs about the Iraq War, global warming or media responsibility ceased to enable comments - and, finally, to appear at all.
Presumably this is the freedom of speech Rupert Murdoch championed at the London hacking enquiry.
I therefore thought it useful to transfer the discussion here.
