My Brilliant Career
12 May 1983
Harry's cool,
Sybilla's cooler.
He sees her as quite peculiar.
But he's watching
Every day,
In his very quiet way.
He proposes,
She refuses.
The happy segment all but closes.
Off she goes
To Barney's Gap,
In a horse-drawn rattletrap.
Off he goes
To distant lands,
Harbouring conjugal demands.
He returns:
She won't marry.
This marks the end of Syb and Harry.
